The former Raposeira Primary School in São João de Fontoura is now home to the Basketry Centre, a space created with the aim of preserving and promoting this traditional art, whose skills were passed down from parents to children.
This Centre also aims to be a space for remembering and promoting the art of basketry, hosting cultural initiatives, workshops and exhibitions.
