The most valuable work in this Library is the edition of "The Lusiads", a Portuguese epic poem by Luís Vaz de Camões, published by Emílio Biel. In the exhibition hall there are usually temporary educational exhibitions, lectures and musical auditions. Besides the Library, the facilities have a Museum that displays regional collections focused on archaeology, costumes and crafts.
