The Library is part of the Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa Cultural Centre, which also includes three museum centres, a chapel that was turned into an exhibition venue and the Bibliographic and Documentary Centre. About 80% of this Library's documentary collection comes from offers by Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
