The façade of Paço de Dona Loba, a residential building, overlooks the floodplains of the river Ovelha and an old channel that ran through the foothills of Marão. Its location and the plan of the structure that remains from the original building remind us of a medieval stronghold. Despite being closed in on itself, this 14th-century building was not designed for military purposes, so it never had battlements.
