Largo de Santa Luzia, Amarante
41.271681, -8.082458
This house, probably built the second half of the 17th century in the centre of Amarante, became a symbol of resistance of the people of Amarante against the Napoleonic invasion in the 19th century. The external walls are the only remaining element of the original structure, burnt by the French troops in 1809. Its polygonal plan is divided into two floors, and the main façade stand out from the composition.
