Owned by the same family since the 12th century, Casa de Vila Nova grew from its legendary tower, with additions that were successively built and restored until the 20th century. In the 1970s, Luís Lencastre began producing a "vinho verde" which still stands out for its quality, associated with the Loureiro, Arinto, Fernão Pires, Avesso and Trajadura varieties.
