Rua 31 de Janeiro, 104, Amarante
Overlooking the river Tâmega and with its doors open to 31 de Janeiro Street, the Lailai pastry shop was named after its founder, Maria Adelaide da Fonseca. The most famous pastry shop in the city (an icon of the history of Amarante in the second half of the 20th century) is still characterised by the bold architectural taste and design that made it stand out from the rest when it was inaugurated, in 1947.
