With a spectacular view over the Senhora do Salto park and its mystical "Boca do Inferno" (Hell Mouth), Cafe Santos is recommended for its tapas. Amongst these, special mention must go the pork steak sandwich – the meat is marinated in wine and garlic and served on a bun with a fried egg and a slice of melted cheese. The "pica-pau com queijo" (stir fry with beef, sausage and cheese) and the "punheta de bacalhau" (a raw salted cod salad) are other specialities, as is the renowned "Receita do Salto", a beverage made with wine, beer and sugar.
