The Church of Saint James of Valadares, in Baião, will host a concert by the ensemble Altos do Bairro on Friday 8 November at 9.30pm.

With a programme that travels between Iberian music and Italian music from the 17th and 18th centuries, Altos do Bairro features Mariana Caldeira Pinto and Sara Maia (sopranos), Pedro Massarrão (baroque cello), Rosa Salomé Vieira (harpsichord), Inês Wilton Trindade and Mariana Santos (lute, archlute, theorbo and baroque guitar).

This concert is part of the Património (com) Vida project, organised by the Câmara Municipal de Baião to bring together music and religious heritage.

Admission is free, subject to prior registration.
