On Friday 26 June at 9.00 pm, at the Church of Saint John the Baptist of Gatão, the Municipality of Amarante is organising the ‘Visit’Ação: Lights on History’ event.

A guided tour of the fresco murals in this National Monument, painted in the 15th and 16th centuries, featuring depictions of the Calvary, the Coronation of the Virgin, the Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Saint Lucy.

This free event is open to anyone aged 12 and over, limited to 15 participants, and requires prior registration.

Participants are to meet at 8.45 pm at the Solar dos Magalhães, in the town of Amarante, with transport to the Church of Gatão provided by the Municipality of Amarante.
