As part of the European Heritage Days 2024, the Monastery of the Saviour of Travanca in Amarante will host a concert by the Ensemble Med on Saturday 21 September at 9.30 pm.

Intercultural Dialogue in the Medieval Mediterranean is the theme of the concert, with an intimate programme that pays homage to the medieval musical heritage of Mediterranean roots, seeking to highlight the intercultural richness of this region, in a historically informed way, in written music and oral tradition.

The concert will be performed by the Ensemble Med, made up of Daniela Tomaz (artistic direction, flutes and adufe), Mariana Fabião (singing), Sérgio Calisto (viola d'amore a chiavi) and Laurent Safar (historical percussion).

The Intercultural Dialogue in the Medieval Mediterranean concert, promoted by the Municipality of Amarante and the Route of the Romanesque, has the support of CCDR Norte, I. P. – Norte Pontual.
