The Torre of the Alcoforados, in Lordelo, Paredes, will host the ‘Fado Iluminado’ show on Saturday 5 September at 9.00 pm.

‘Fado Iluminado’ is an invitation to experience the soul of Portuguese music in an intimate setting by the soft glow of candlelight.

Soprano Marisol Brito returns to her hometown, Lordelo, to give voice to contemporary fados, presented with a personal and sensitive touch, where tradition and lyrical expression merge.

Accompanied by Rui Beirão on the Portuguese guitar and Carlos Santos on the fado viola, the evening of 5 September promises an encounter between different forms of artistic expression, through the fusion of music, voice and dance.

The dancer Liliana Brandão will add to the performance the lightness and intensity of her body in motion, in an experience that celebrates identity, memory and the depth of feelings.

An initiative by the Lordelo Parish Council, as part of the ‘Lordelo com Vida’ summer programme.
