The Route of the Romanesque will have a new interpretive centre in Celorico de Basto, dedicated to the Church of Saint Mary of Veade.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Sunday 14 July at 5pm.

Located next to the church, the centre will explore its main historical, architectural and symbolic aspects.

The museum project highlights a set of decorated stones (consisting of voussoirs, friezes and capitals) that belonged to the main portal or triumphal arch of the original Romanesque church, which was dismantled in 1732.
