The Interpretation Centre of Romanesque Sculpture (CIER), located in Abragão, Penafiel, has one more attraction: a sculpture by artist Bordalo II, created through the re-purposing of rubbish.
CIER's new exhibition piece, called "Boi" (ox), affirms itself as a contemporary reinterpretation of Romanesque aesthetics, using metals and plastics as materials for artistic composition.
A three-dimensional, colourful and original work, with a strong ecological and social connotation, in line with the well-known works of artist Artur Bordalo, born in Lisbon in 1987.
