The Route of the Romanesque promoted, in 2021 and 2022, a cycle of three exhibitions of sacred art and immersive and interactive experiences, under the motto Ver do Bago, a toast between God and Men.
Celebrating the material and symbolic relationship between the vine and the cultural and human landscape of the Sousa, Douro and Tâmega valleys, this exhibition cycle, which was accompanied by a broad cultural program, took place in the following locations and dates:
– Ver do Bago nos Mosteiros, 13 May to 12 September 2021, Monastery of Saint Andrew of Ancede, Baião;
– Ver do Bago nos Santos, 30 September 2021 to 31 January 2022, Church of Saint Antony of Capuchos, Penafiel;
– Ver do Bago no Sangue, 25 February to 26 June 2022, Interpretation Centre of the Romanesque, Lousada.
In partnership with Bairro dos Livros and 3Decide, which are responsible for the content and multimedia component of the cycle, the Route of the Romanesque presents 360º virtual visits of the three exhibitions, in a double commitment: revisiting the past project and perpetuating it for future memory.
