On 18 October, the Route of the Romanesque celebrated, for the second time, the Heritage Carer day.

One year after the launch of this unprecedented initiative in Portugal, the Route of the Romanesque offered each of its Carers a hamper with regional products from the 12 municipalities of its current territory (see photo album).

A tribute and a very special thanks to all those who continue, in a dedicated and unconditional way, to look after our monuments, constituting an invaluable living memory of the place.

This action is part of the project Heritage Carers, one of the 11 winners of the 'European Heritage Days Stories 2020' competition, promoted by the Council of Europe and the European Commission.
