Between 22 and 26 January, the Route of the Romanesque is taking part in the 45th edition of FITUR – International Tourism Trade Fair, in Madrid, Spain.

A regular presence since 2014, the Route of the Romanesque, with stand 29B, is once again part of Visit Portugal's exhibition space, located in pavilion 4 of the IFEMA Park – Feria de Madrid.

Over the weekend, the space will feature a vast programme of leisure and cultural activities, including gastronomic tastings, wine tastings and presentations of destinations, such as the Route of the Romanesque, which will be promoted on Saturday 25 at 12.30pm.

In 2025, under the slogan ‘Proud. We are Tourism’, FITUR plans to bring together 9500 companies and 884 exhibitors from 156 countries in its nine pavilions. Brazil is the organisation's partner country.

In this edition, FITUR announces the renewal of its 10 sections, seeking to link the tourism industry to sectors that have generated new niches for travellers: FITUR 4all, FITUR Cruises, FITUR Know-How & Export, FITUR LGBT+, FITUR Lingua, FITUR Screen, FITUR Sports, FITUR Talent, FITUR Techy and FITUR Woman.

In 2024, over the five days of the fair, FITUR had more than 250,000 visitors, including 153,000 professionals and 97,000 general public.
