Route of the Romanesque at Turexpo Galicia - Rota do Românico

Route of the Romanesque at Turexpo Galicia

30-05-2018

The Route of the Romanesque will participate for the first time, between June 7th and 10th, in Turexpo Galicia, one of the most important tourism fairs in Europe.

The eight edition of Turexpo Galicia, Salón Turístico de Galicia will take place, as usual, at the largest exhibition centre (400,000 m²) in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, ABANCA International Fair of Galicia, in Silleda, Pontevedra, Spain.

In addition to the exhibition area, the number of visitors (more than 100 thousand) and the entertainment activities, Turexpo Galicia also stands out for the so-called Tourist Contracting Pool, a meeting space for the various agents operating in the sector, which, this year, will bring together 43 tour operators from 12 countries.

This event will surely be yet another privileged opportunity for promoting the "Route of the Romanesque" as a destination and its tourist programs in the close foreign market, mainly in a region - Galicia - which has been emerging as the main origin of foreign visitors/tourists who travel across the Route of the Romanesque.

The Route of the Romanesque, which will be integrated into the exhibition area of the Regional Tourism Authority of Porto and Northern Portugal, continues to focus on the internationalization of its tourist product, having already participated in FITUR - International Tourism Fair (Madrid, Spain), ITB Berlin (Berlin, Germany) and BTL - International Tourism Exhibition of Lisbon this year.

The participation of the Route of the Romanesque in Turexpo Galicia 2018 is part of the project "Tourist Enhancement and Development of the Route of the Romanesque", co-financed by Turismo de Portugal, I.P., through the Valorizar Program - Support Line for Tourist Development in Inland Portugal.
