The Route of the Romanesque was honoured with the Five Star Regions 2025 Award, in the Tourism Promotion Projects category, in the districts of Aveiro, Braga, Porto and Viseu.

The award resulted from the assessment of 4671 consumers, who revealed an overall satisfaction rating of 82.60 per cent in the tests and market research carried out.

The Five Stars Regions Award is an evaluation system implemented in Portugal by Five Stars Consulting, which annually measures the level of satisfaction that products, services and brands give their users.

This system bases its assessment on the five main variables that influence consumers' purchasing decisions: satisfaction through experimentation, price/quality, intention to purchase/recommend, trust in the brand and innovation.

In 2025, its 8th edition, the Five Star Regions Award evaluated 1022 brands in the different regions of the country, involving a total of 498,660 consumers.

The Route of the Romanesque is a tourist and cultural project that brings together 58 monuments and three interpretation centres, spread across 12 municipalities (Amarante, Baião, Castelo de Paiva, Celorico de Basto, Cinfães, Felgueiras, Lousada, Marco de Canaveses, Paços de Ferreira, Paredes, Penafiel and Resende) in Northern Portugal.

The main areas of intervention of the Route of the Romanesque include scientific research, heritage conservation, cultural dynamisation, heritage education and tourism promotion.
