This Friday, 9 October, the State Secretary for Tourism, Rita Marques, and the president of the regional authority for Tourism in Porto and Northern Portugal, Luís Pedro Martins, visited the Interpretation Centre of the Romanesque, in Lousada.
At the end, the president of the Lousada city council, Pedro Machado, and the director of Route of the Romanesque, Rosário Correia Machado, had the opportunity to exhibit some of the work of this cultural tourism project, in its different areas of intervention.
The State Secretary for Tourism classified Route of the Romanesque a national reference project, highlighting the quality and the breadth of the work involved to promote tourism and heritage in its area of influence.
Currently, the Route of the Romanesque comprises 58 monuments, located in 12 municipalities (Amarante, Baião, Castelo de Paiva, Celorico de Basto, Cinfães, Felgueiras, Lousada, Marco de Canaveses, Paços de Ferreira, Paredes, Penafiel and Resende) of the Sousa, Douro and Tâmega valleys, in northern Portugal.
