The literary tourism project Viagem a Portugal, developed by technicians from the Associations of Municipalities of Vale do Sousa and Baixo Tâmega and the Municipalities of Baião and Marco de Canaveses, was distinguished by the ALA+T - Qualifying for Tourism program.

Inspired by the homonymous work by José Saramago (1922-2010), which traveled through our country between October 1979 and July 1980, the Viagem a Portugal project aims to conceive a tourist product that combines heritage and literature, foreseeing, among other initiatives , the creation of three touristic-literary guides proposed by renowned contemporary writers, the holding of training workshops for the design of thematic tour packages and various communication and marketing campaigns.
