Mr. José da Mouta, as he is known, has been opening the door of the church of Ferreira Monastery since 2018. In the parish, he does everything he likes: he is a reader, sings in the choir and helps the parish priest in everything he needs.
It is a very special Monastery and one about which he keeps fond memories: 'I was christened here, I took communion here, I got married here, my children also got married here, I like it...' And tourists like it too, as he proudly reveals.
