Luísa Sousa - Rota do Românico

Mrs. Luísa has been the carer of the Chapel of Quintã since the early 1980s. She was responsible for cleaning it, as her children would go there to play... Later, when the Chapel was no longer used for worship, she started looking after the altar. In May and October, she prays the rosary in the Chapel. 'They [her children] learned to pray here, they learned here with me because I prayed the rosary, ... they were really quiet here, nobody could hear them talk,' reveals Mrs. Luísa.
She recalls with emotion the various processions that took place there, as well as the more intimate celebrations, such as the one commemorating her 25th wedding anniversary with José Campos (also the Chapel's carer), the wedding of her youngest daughter and the baptism of her grandson.

She participated in the events of the Route of the Romanesque held in her Chapel, and says that they were very beautiful and had a full house.
