Rosa Silva - Rota do Românico

Mrs. Rosinha has been looking after an altar in the Church of Jazente since 2015. In addition to this duty, she is an extraordinary minister of the holy communion, catechist, reader and opens the Church door to visitors.
She says that visitors, from a variety of backgrounds, like her Church very much. They admire the image of Our Lady, 'which is very old and very beautiful.'
She shares some stories she heard from her ancestors: 'nuns used to live here, it was a convent (...) since there was no cemetery, they said that people were buried around the church (...), they also said that, next to the bell tower, there is a saint and that they can only touch it after the fifth generation of the family.'
