Mrs. Teresa is responsible for opening Pombeiro Monastery, living nearby since her marriage. She emigrated for 10 years and, when she returned, Father Sampaio asked her to keep the key to the Monastery, opening it whenever necessary.
She has a long and active participation in the local parish: singer in the choir, catechist, carer of an altar. 'It's been many years... I know all the nooks and corners', she says.
She recalls her wedding day, celebrated at the Monastery, as well as some of her family's religious celebrations. And she says that Pombeiro Monastery became even more popular since it joined the Route of the Romanesque. Tourists are enchanted by its beauty.
